    My Xbox One is ruining my Plasma


    My Xbox One started turning itself on about two days ago. It will turn on randomly along with kinect and my TV and my sound system. It seems to happen every hour and a half to two hours. This happens no matter if I am home or sleep, the only time it does
    not happen is when I am using it. I have a Plasma Tv ( for the rich contrast and super dark blacks) and this is causing screen burn in and ghost images. Then when I wake up or get home the screen is dimmed and will not get brighter when the controller is used. As
    a matter of fact the Xbox turned on 4 times today alone. I have been a loyal Xbox fan since Morrowind was released on the original Xbox. My Xbox one account says 8 years but I have been singing Xbox's praises for a long time. I replaced my Xbox 360 five time
    (no exaggeration) because of the red ring of death and other system issues. Please help me because I don't want to go back to Sony but if Xbox is ruining my TV (and I doubt you will replace it) I will have no choice. I tried all of the steps I found on this
    forum the first day it started doing this.

    • Turn off your console completely by holding down the power button for ~5 seconds
    • Unplug your power supply from the wall and console.
    • Leave everything unplugged for about 5 minutes
    • Plug everything back in and turn your console back on
    Also I had it plugged into a surge protector and I just plugged it straight into the outlet. It still does the same thing. I just don't under stand why it started doing this about 2 days ago. I have the Day One Edition so it has always been plugged into
    the surge protector since the day Xbox One released.

    Does anyone miss the old Xbox guide?

    I don't wan't the white dashboard, ruining my Plasma.. I'll be pissed..

    My XBOX ONE keeps turning on by itself...

    For a while now my Xbox One will randomly turn on all by itself. Energy saving mode is on and I have Instant on mode turned off. Is there any way to fix this problem as it is ruining my plasma tv with burn in.

    Do you have it set to 'instant on' or 'energy saving' mode as it could be turning on to check for updates?

    Yes to Plasma!!! I move my Xbox One from my LCD monitor to my Plasma and it's night and day in comparison.

    The color and detail were just gorgeous. I didn't have motion blur on my monitor, so no problems there.

    But if you can get your hands on a Plasma, do yourself a favor...

    With my Xbox One...

    I have play my console with a 720P Plasma Panasonic TV, the color where much brighter and spectacular, the sound was ok.

    nom i have a LED TV (Sanyo)

    The quality with my 1080p, the color is good and nice (lest better that plasma) but the refresh image, and the sound was much better.

    Crap, I have a 2011 Panny plasma and 2012 Panny LCD (replaced dead 2009 Panny plasma). My intention is to hook up the One to the plasma first as it's easier to get to, to make sure the One works before moving it upstairs to its permanent place which is a
    lot more work getting behind the entertainment center and routing cables. I'll let you know if it works or not with the plasma when the One gets delivered today.
