My Xbox One is refusing to read games

I bought a new Xbox One today and I have the same issue, it won't read any discs. I'm very disappointed and will be getting a refund. I expect more from Microsoft!

 

I have the same issue. Most blu rays, titanfall, thief, watch dogs, and battlefield 4. Fortunately CoD ghosts is the ONLY disc that hasn't given me any trouble. The problem started awhile ago with titanfall but kept getting wise and longer to start the game
every time they came out with an update or new maps. Now it tells me to eject disc when out used to tell me can't play this disc....Then started 20 min later after I started watching a movie.Today I spoke with an assistant. Through many options we tried to
fix it we came down to the last option. Restore to factory defaults. He took off while it's doing this cuz it takes awhile. It's been over an hour now and the green bar stopped moving a half hour ago....

 

I purchased Fifa 15 yesterday for the XBox One. I opened the packaging turned on my console and inserted the disc only to be presented with the issue everyone has talked about here and also here

This is a brand new game, clean disc but XBox refuses to run the game.

Can anyone help me please?

all I can say is, you should have did your research and waited for a NON DEFECTIVE console to be made

 

maybe the newer xboxones are illiterate.

 

This JUST happened to me today. I've had my system since launch. Apparently there will be another update to the system in October and that will fix it.

 

So MS is past the denial phase - and realized that was starting to fail with system update, must be fixed with a system update - and not switch hardware?

MS really scared me off anyway.

 

when will there be a newer model of the xbox one, that is what I want to know

 

We stayed 2 weeks in Tunisia, today want to look a Blue-ray and the Xbox can not read the disc. I have put together with the MS Chat, have then made ​​an offline update, but even that has brought nothing. Now I can no games or movies I have on CD play. Unfortunately

Just bought a brand new Xbox One (white, with the Sunset Overdrive package). Same issue - refuses to install Destiny or any other games.

Absolutely ridiculous. I've been a sysadmin/devops/developer and through IT for 11 years, and this is BY FAR the worst experience with a piece of consumer electronics that I've ever experienced.

Returning tomorrow. I was so excited for Destiny and other upcoming games, but I just can't rationalize buying what seems to be such a clunker.
