I've seen this problem with other older consoles. Every time the console was in a house that people smoked in. Might not be the case, but if so, I think the smoke particles mess the hardware up.

All my xbox ones have the same issues as you, i have to hard reset a couple times a day

Issues happen across hardware. I had a PS4 that would get real hot and felt really warm to the touch and would just shut down. So it can always happen.

I have seen the issues you talk of but to a lesser extent. One of my consoles will sometimes ask if I own the game, with the disc, and I have to turn the console off to eject.

I had a controller that would not stay connected. Worked most of the time but would just randomly quick connecting after I needed a battery change. Same console, another controller, and never happens.

The Netflix disconnect could be the console. But if games and other things are not doing it I would side with it being ISP, Netflix, Both. If you are from a bigger city you never know what the ISP is doing to traffic. My sister found out that her issues
with Netflix was her ISP even though she paid the best connection and they assured her it was not them. I tested the speeds and they were fast. But with Netflix running things would randomly drop off and cause issues. Many times she would have to exit Netflix
and then reload. Happened on their tablets and SmartTV. High traffic times can also cause issues.

I think they call this "throttling". Providers will give priority speed to corporate customers, leaving regular consumers in a slower lane. It's the reason I still buy Blu Ray discs for my good stuff, and only consume my filler through streaming services.

Ive done the same thing. My children use my xbox account and it is a nightmare with xbox one

If I was being a smartass I'd have a moan that I have a bunch of problems with my XBox ONE that no one else has but even though I'm the only one it can't be 'my fault' and then finish it off with "should I just get a PS 4 at this point"?

Probability is an exact science. That's why casinos exist.

In all probability if you can't manage to run an XBox ONE chances are you'll knack your PS 4 also.

In regards to the Xbox One acting weird, I simply unplug it for about for about 5 minutes so that it can do a hard reset

I would trade it in for in store credit at GS and get another console.

They are cheaper now than what they once were, and it's better to lose a few bucks than to have to deal with those issues.

Just make sure to reset everything before taking it to GS.
