    I have the same problem with the xbox headsets. only in game chat though, I can hear but cannot be heard. parties are fine

    My younger brother and I recently swapped XBOX ONE headsets because I upgraded to the stereo headset. My XBOX ONE headset will allow me to hear game chat and party chat but will not let me talk to ... :) However, four days later the headset I gave him is now transmitting static in party chat and game chat. The headset I gave him was the original that
    came with my XBOX ONE console. I can confirm that it was working less then 24 hours before Monday, June 27 because I was playing Destiny and I was talking with other players on the headset in question. Can anyone help me with this problem?

    Is there any chance none of the other players you had played with previously just didn't say anything about a static noise? It's possible it could have been faulty and people just ignored it. Just a suggestion!

    Your issue sounded a bit different than the other poster's so I went ahead and started this new thread for you.

    Which headset are you using with the Xbox One console? Have you been able to try different controllers and headsets to see if this problem is consistent?

    @gh0stz. Im having the exact same problem. in party chat if my headset is connected they can hear me but i cannot hear them. However, when I'm not in party chat and the headset is connected, I hear game sound through the headset but no chat sound. let me

    My headset only works in party chat. When I'm playing other games I can see that people are talking but I can't hear them and they can't hear me. It only works in party chat.

    Have you been able to test this headset with another controller to see if the same problem occurs? Also you'll want to take a look at

    this guide     to see if it helps out.
