My Xbox One has recorded two 1 minute clips instead of 30 sec's?

Both times I have told it to using the 'Xbox record that' command and expected them to be 30 seconds but there not, was wondering if anyone else has had this happen and if you know how to make it work all the time as 1 minute clips are much better


They are both still there along with some other entertaining clips if you want to have a look

One clips is 53 sec's the other is 1 min

Both clips were recorded on Battlefield 4 in the same game.

need help with xbox one recording

This, the double tap and x (record that) is the last 30 seconds only. There isn't a way to change that currently. Use the game dvr to do up to 5 minutes instead of 30 seconds.

 

Game DVR

My Game DVR has crashed. I recorded a number of clips with it and recorded a five minute clip and it has just been saying "In progress- 5 minutes" for about 4 days now - please help!

 

Interesting. I have no idea why it would be doing that, but IMO, the longer it records the better (provided it doesn't eat up all of the system memory in the process).

 

Just tried to look via Xbox Smartglass - it doesn't tell me the length of time for each clip unless I start them and I'm not patient enough to sift through every single one of your clips. Perhaps you could tell us the names of the 2 clips?

 

Sorry should of said that they are both on Parcel Storm and I am in the Attack Boat in both pictures. Cheers for the reply.

 

I'll try recreating this myself by getting into an attack boat on Parasol Storm and recording a clip myself to see if it does something similar and get back with you.

 

Ok then dude nice one, I will be going on later as well so will try again, also maybe using the 'record that' command twice in a row or something and then it's putting the two together maybe...

we say it tons.. but either a hard reboot of your XB1 or a hard restart of your router/modem should clear that up

 

I don't want it to go away as if I can make it keep recording 1 minute clips that would be better than 30 secs.

Yeah that's fine if your ok with snapping while playing but it makes it look squashed and don't say get a bigger tv as I have a 50". If you could start the game dvr and then unsnap that and then shout to stop recording when you want or let it hit the 5
min timer just so you didn't have to have it on the side of the screen.

 

Using the game DVR to record won't make your clip look squashed.

However, I would be worried about it momentarily pausing your gameplay as you pause it. :|

 

So can you start the game dvr then unsnap it and it will keep recording? I realise it wouldn't record it squashed but if you need to leave the game dvr up on screen to use it then it looks weird playing.

 

I've never had any issues with it, as it maintains the same overall shape of the image (nothing is stretched or scrunched more-so than any other part of the screen originally was). Sure, it gets smaller, but it's all to scale. And yes, I do believe you need
to keep it snapped.
