My Xbox one has frozen on the start up green screen.

Firstly try just performing a power cycle.

Press and hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds, till it fully shuts down, leave for 30 seconds then power back on. Hopefully this will refresh the system. If it doesn't then follow these steps.

1. press and hold power button till fully shut down.
2. Press both the bind and eject buttons (keep pressed)
3. press power button (keeping bind and eject pressed) wait for second power up chime.
4. From the troubleshoot menu select reset console
5. Select reset keeping all games and apps.

This should rectify any problems.

Thank you for responding. I see you have some questions in regards to the troubleshooting provided by our great ambassadors. We'll try our best to clear things up for you. A

power cycle is when you shut off your console, unplug it from the power for thirty seconds, and then turning it back on. In order perform a manual

factory reset, you can do the following:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
3. Press and hold the BIND button and the EJECT button, and then press the
   Xbox button on the console.
4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
   
5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
   BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

The bind button on the original Xbox One can be found on left side of the console, near the disc tray. When you are dealing with an Xbox One S/X it is located below the power button. Hope this helps!
