My Xbox One has been broken since day one, is out of warranty, and I want it fixed.

I waited outside of what used to be Future Shop in Canada to get this thing on day one. Got it, great. Played for a few months. Great. Started to notice some odd things...

- Sometimes, games wouldn't start regardless of me putting the disc in the tray.

- I'd often hear a weird grinding noise, not the super violent one that you hear on YouTube, but more subtle.

Things progressively got worse, and now:

- The disc tray does not spin any discs, the disc goes in and just sits there.

- IF for some reason the disc DOES spin, it is extremely damaged and unrecognizable upon next entrance - the disc is literally cracked from the middle. This alone has cost me well over $300 in games.

To add on to all of this, every USB port returned unresponsive when tested. Every USB port on the thing is dead. The one on the side was always dead, I almost believe it was dead when I first opened the box, but the ones on the back are unresponsive as well.

It is truly a shame how a company as excellent as Microsoft can let these things go. I've contacted Microsoft support on multiple occasions trying to come to a conclusion only to be greeted by denial or that it can't be done for whatever reason. The main
thing I get is that, because my warranty is expired, I need to pay. There is not a chance in the world that I am paying for this, I'd honestly rather watch the console burn. I don't understand how a console as absolutely amazing as the Xbox 360 can be considered
a predecessor to something as dreadful as the Xbox One... I absolutely loved the 360 and will own it 'till I die.

This console has been defective since day one, I fought it out past the warranty and just after expiration sh*t hits the fan. I assume no steps are going to be taken to elevate this by any means so I'm posting to the forum to keep it alive. Alongside that,
I also assume I'm going to get the standard 'pay for no warranty' - I'm not paying, it is extremely scummy and suspicious that right after the warranty expires this thing craps out.

How long it takes to get my Xbox one s back? I used my one year warranty and followed all step by steps sending it out for repairs. It's been four mouths now I've waited for my Xbox one s to return all fixed up. And I still got my shipping
recite since the day I shipped it out.

 

Your disc drive will fail too!

Xbox one has been good eat with BC, ea access, and it runs cool all day. After taking perfect care for my blue Ray discs the Drive broke making weird noises. It just cheap hardware I fear, hope it skips you but just wow, thanks m$. Out of warranty with broken
disc drive.

 

If it has "been defective since day one", why did you not either return it to the place of purchase or contact Microsoft for warranty repair/replacement?
