My Xbox One gaming experience has never been "smooth"...

Let me start by saying I have been a fan of Microsoft's Xbox consoles ever since the launch of the Xbox 360. I loved how the controller felt, how the games looked and how effortless they played on my television.
So when I heard about the Xbox One, I immediately put my pre order in at my local Gamestop for the Day One Edition! It was a rough go from the start though. All the games that I played "juddered" visually in cutscenes and gameplay. Everyone I talked to told
me that it was because my television could not render the graphics properly. So, I believed them and shelled out about $500.00 for a new tv. Needless to say, that did not help. So I dealt with it, since I had already sold off my old tv for a new one. I dealt
with the constant juddering and "hard reset" tricks that Xbox Support kept telling me would fix it.

Eventually the announcement of the Xbox One S is made public. Boasting faster load times and better graphical quality and native 4K! So, this had to be the answer that I was looking for right? I get the new
Xbox One S, hook it up, and......have the same problem! Now my friends told me it was because I needed a 4K TV instead of the ol' 1080p LED tv that I was rocking. Okay, seems to make sense. Once again, I sell my tv, shell out about $700.00 on a new 4K tv.
Hook it up again.......no change. I mean, the picture looked great. Probably better than before. But only when you stood still. Movement and cutscenes still looked jumpy and horrible. Someone suggests I turn on the HDR and game mode in my tv settings, but
to no avail. It only makes the picture render better lighting and maybe helped me hit the button prompts in QTEs a little better. Now I am getting really mad! Instead of contacting Xbox support again, I decide to search around on tech forums for the answer.
I see a lot of posts from people saying the same things that I was being told by my friends! So why do I seem to be the only person who has had this problem across two different consoles?! Then I see a post mentioning something about HDMI standards, data transference
speeds, and 4K picture quality. WOW! That HAS to be the answer! I didn't know anything about that stuff before! So I buy a brand spanking new HDMI cable that had everything that was explained. I replace the old cable and.......drumroll..........same.....problem....!
SMH. What could be the problem now?! I got it!! I need an external hard drive that runs at a higher RPM than the internal drive of the Xbox One S!!! NOPE!!! Still no change.

So here we are. I am so tired of shelling out money for this console that was said to be "revolutionary" from day one. I feel defeated and a little bit embarrassed that I have done everything to make this console
look amazing and have a seamless gameplay experience along with all the beautiful visual fidelity that was supposed to come with it. Maybe I misunderstood what was being sold to me as a consumer in the first place. It has put such a sour taste in my mouth
that I do not even care to eventually buy and Xbox One X. Were my standards and expectations too high for this console?? I don't want to sound like I am just whining about this like a child. All I want is what was promised to me as a consumer, from a leading
tech company. At this point, I feel like my loyalty has been worth nothing but money to Microsoft. I have no idea what else to do now.

4. Fantom Drive Gforce3 Pro 4TB 7200 RPM USB 3.0 (external HDD)
   

If you have any suggestions on what I should try with this current setup, or any helpful tips at all, I would love to hear them.

Hi,

I'd recommend not doing this as it will degrade your experience on the rest of the xbox one. Gaming included.

Unfortunately, here in Europe (UK for me) the 'best' experience isn't the smoothest.

I never saw anything like that. My gameplay experience was pretty smooth.
