My Xbox one freezes & crashes since day one, literally.. Anyone else?

I have a "day one edition" console that I have only played a handful of times, because quite frankly, I think the new console is a joke. But that's beside the point.. I've played 2 games on it, but spent countless hours on the dashboard trying to figure
out what the heck this convoluted mess is that I'm looking at. I'd say 90% of my time spent with my 'new' Xbox has resulted in me having to force it to shut down due to some failure. Is this common? I wouldn't know because I still play on the superior 360.
The Xbox one has been my biggest letdown since the Sega Saturn.

So after a few weeks since getting a replacement xbox off MS I have had a few issues with it crashing/ freezing. Anyone out there ever had this issue?

Campaign and mp freezing. xbox one

I literally can not play this game on campaign and i can barely make it through a mp match without the game freezing, loud buzz through speakers and getting kicked back to xbox home screen. aftermath (campaign level) won't load just freezes/crashes after
"the way forward" cinematic. mp freezes and crashes every match. I've tried hard reset, uninstalling and re-installing three times today. this is a digital download version on xbox one. anyone have details or suggestions before i call for a refund or make
microsoft send me a disc version?

Sorry you're having issues with your console. I'm assuming you're talking about the latest NXOE update. Did your console crash before then? If you've done multiple hard resets on it, and you're still having issues, I would try doing a factory reset. Provided
that you play your games while connected to the internet your saves should be safely backed up in the cloud. You will however be required to reinstall all your games afterwards.

Today was my first experience with NXOE. I checked it out, activated the 360 downloads that were ready, and it froze shortly afterword. I haven't even really used the system since release day, I don't like it. I've played 2 games. But nearly half the
times I have used it, which was mostly time spent trying to figure out how the dashboard even works, it has crashed. The NXOE is the only reason this piece of junk is going to get a chance at life at all, but not if the crashes continue. The warrantee has
long expired yet my system is still brand new.

 

So in my experience the NXOE can be very laggy to start with. If you've been using it for a bit, and hard reset the console a few times like you said, then it could just be something that did not update correctly. The Factory Reset would resolve that issue
if it was software related.

 

Ok today is the first time I have used this piece of junk since I last posted. I was browsing the available apps and my PoS promptly froze within minutes. I had to force it to power down then force it to power back up as usual. Im about to force it with
a hammer.. This is a bigger failure than Windows phone will ever be. I haven't done a factory reset because this thing is still brand new. Everyone else was right, the PlayStation 4 is WAY better. Who wants to buy a brand new day one Xbox? I'm done...

 

Sorry to hear you are having so many issues with your console. If it was giving you so many problems initially you should have returned it immediately instead of waiting for so long. You then would probably have a working console and not experiencing so

Well this morning I decided to watch A Christmas Story on bluray on my 'new' Xbox one. I got about 20 minutes into the movie and my Xbox completely froze and after forcing it off, did not come back on. After unplugging it and kicking around the room a
little, I plugged it back up and it powered back up but lost my Microsoft password, weird. Without a warranted Microsoft wants $115 to swap my new console with a refurb, no thanks.. Anyhow I think I have decided I want a new PlayStation 4 for Christmas. Then
I can once again play with all my friends that bailed out years ago. The Xbox One is an epic failure, so long.

 

Since my last post I have done a full factory reset. Completely wiped the Xbox one and reinstalled everything. I didn't use it until today. I turned it on and started browsing the dashboard. Within 2 minutes this piece of trash completely froze up, requiring
a hard power down as usual. The Xbox one is a total, complete piece of garbage and obviously Microsoft will do nothing to remedy the problem.

Sorry your Xbox is continuing to give you issues. If you've done the factory reset and immediately after starts freezing on the dashboard you may want to just get you console serviced. This isn't an issue with the Xbox as a whole as most people do not have
these issues. I personally have 3 consoles, two of which were day one editions and they're still running strong. See the link below to start a repair on your system.

I refuse to send a basically brand new console to Microsoft only to have a refurbished unit sent out to replace it. If I don't get a brand new console as a replacement, I will not be satisfied. I feel the only remedy is to box it back up and sell it to
some other unsuspecting fool, just as Microsoft has done to me. The new controller is the only thing I ever liked about the Xbox one anyways, the console is a joke.
