My Xbox One errors during Preparing screen at console startup - Infinite Looping and Can't ...

Hello anyone who can help me.

I have tried contacting the Twitter XboxSupport and I waited 4 days for "MatrixGlitch" to tell me to "request callback" after I observed and pointed out they were way more ready to help anyone with Halo 4 problems.

Anyway, that link didn't bring me to a "request a callback" option anywhere. I did find this community option. Here is the twitter DM I sent to XboxSupport. Please, if anyone can help me, I need it. Thank you

(It's formatted weird because it's a copy/paste from my mobile)

Hello. I tried reaching out before (8/29) about an E202 I received which is not on the
    Xbox.com/xboxone/offlin

Eventually the Xbox One did a factory restore and I was able to play for a while.

This is an original Xbox One console.

2 days ago (Sun 9/9) I had been watching YouTube and then I shut down to leave the apartment for a while. I came home hours later and the Xbox One had once again stalled on the green screen, something that had been occurring more frequently. I tried to
reboot for another restore but this time I got an error E105. The restore failed and I have since been on a looping cycle I can't break.

I hold Bind+Eject+Power and hear the startup sound. Once the white Xbox light is on, I remove my finger from the power. The Troubleshoot screen comes up.

If I 'Reset this Xbox' neither option works anymore (keeping data or removing all data). This results in a "preparing" screen

That will then tell me "something went wrong" and gives me a E102 or an E101 error.

I removed the power cable from the console and wall and waited until morning to try again. The only thing this did was reduce the picture size on the TV but otherwise the steps were all the same.

Yesterday (Tues 9/11) I bought a 16GB PNY 3.0 flash drive with 2.0 backwards compatibility. I reformatted the USB for Xbox. I followed the instructions on Xbox.com and downloaded files, extracted the .zip contents to the root directory of the flash drive
and plugged it in to the Xbox. I have done this with 2 different .zip supplied, FactoryReset and OSU1 (note: the supplied root directory per zip are the only things on the USB each time I attempted to reset. This is because one didn't work so I tried
the other in hopes of progress)

I hold Bind+Eject+Power until it chimes and the light comes on, then I continue holding Bind +Eject until the troubleshoot screen comes up. No error code. I select 'Offline System Update' which takes me to the 'Preparing' screen, another chime happens
that sounds like the startup/shutdown chime and then I get "something went wrong" and E101 (with varying repeating sets of numbers).

    E101 00000503 8007045D,

E101 00000503 80070079 (after failing 'offline system update' with USB device)

    E102 10030C02 80070079

(After failing with 'reset this Xbox - remove everything')

    E102 10070C02 8B060008

(After failing with 'reset this Xbox - keep games and apps')

    E102 10070C02 8B060008

(When I select 'restart this Xbox' from Something Went Wrong screen or Troubleshoot screen)

E102 10070C02 8B060008 (when I try to turn on the Xbox normal)

Every time the 'Preparing' screen appears, the times the progress bar is displayed, it has never moved passed 0%.

At some point the full screen resolution came back.

To note: The console is not making any unusual sounds. Aside from the normal chime, it's very quite. No fast fan or knocking etc.

I have had this Xbox One since the end of June, I don't do anything more than play games and watch YouTube or Netflix on the occasion (I already have owned a separate BluRay player for many years, since Xbox360 didn't support it).

Since the Xbox came to my procession I have had to constantly reboot it to factory settings after getting stuck on the green start up screen.

I have been looking online for solutions, fixes, and advice but I'm finally at a point where I can't make any progress. I'm in a constant cycle and I can't move further. I have Red Dead Redemption 2 on pre-order and I'm going to be very cross if that
    was a wasted investment.

I hope this has been detailed enough to supply you with information to come up with a fix or solution so I can get back to gaming.

I have included some images of what I see during this

    This
is from the first night this started happening. I didn't own a 3.0USB yet.

    This
shows the sudden resolution change which occurred after removing all cables from the console and letting it sit over night.

    This
image was taken after the image resolution restored. This shows the OS and ID clearer (encase that's needed for any reason in helping my situation)

I really need help. I have no idea what's wrong with this. Please get me back to my gaming before I have wasted money for Red Dead Redemption 2(or an any games I have collected already in the 2+months I have had it)

    :)

    Hey there redranger022006!

That green start up screen is generally due to update errors. We have a troubleshooter for this particular error, when you get a chance please check out the steps on this

    Xbox One Update Solution
and run through the steps for the green screen.

Preparing Console, Green Screen Loading Errors

    Hello,

During the initial setup of my xbox one s console, while updating it didn't respond for a while. I did a restart and it kept stucking at the green loading screen forever.

I tried to do system rest and offload update using the details from Xbox One System Updates | Offline System Updates. It is still getting stuck at
    "Preparing Console" screen.

Let me know if anyone got into similar situations and able to fix.

    Thank you!!

My Xbox One errors during Preparing screen at console startup - Infinite Looping and Can't ...

    Hi there,

if you have tried all the the steps this trouble shooting page:
    http://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/console/system-updates-solution

And all fails you will either need to set up a repair or contact Xbox Support like mentioned on that troubleshooting page. When contacting Xbox Support use either the Phone option or the Microsoft Support Chat option on
    Contact Us | Xbox Support

When registering a repair it will also show if the console is within warranty or not, when within warranty the repair/replacement will usually be free of charge.

Side note: the callback request option is only available for specific countries for others it should show a phone number, this is the link:

    https://support.xbox.com/contact-us?isChatCallAvailable=false
be sure to check that the country in bottom left corner matches your location

microsoft needs to make a tool to restore Xbox bios or backup (don't ignore me please)

And how am I supposed to update my Xbox when it's in an infinite loop of errors E101 and E106 because the startup is damaged?

You're probably seeing the Startup troubleshooting screen with the options, Continue, Restart this XBOX, Offline system
    update, Turn off this XBOX.

If you're also seeing an error message, Startup error solution may assist you.

Take note, Offline system updates (OSU) can't be used if the console is enrolled in a Insiders preview ring.

    Update Error E102

    Hi Marius,

To try and resolve this problem, use the Xbox One startup error troubleshooter:

    1. Go to the
      Xbox One Startup Error Solution
      .
    2. Scroll down the screen and select E102.
    3. Follow the instructions in the troubleshooter.

If nothing on the troubleshooter helps, then the console has a hardware failure and would need to be sent in for repair or the console will need to be replaced.

Unable to startup Xbox One S

    Hi,

My Xbox One S was unable to startup, so I tried to perform Offline System Update using USB drive.

But during offline update using USB, step 1 and step 2 went successful. But during step 3 (42%), it goes into continuous loop of restarting and updating from (34% - 42%) and restarts and try again. This is in continuous loop.

Please help what to do now.

    Thanks,

    Sameer Gupta
