My Xbox one elite controller keeps crashing on pc when I play games at higher frame rates.

So it started out a few weeks back, I was playing on my pc at 60fps, and suddenly my controller just began crashing every time I tried to play. Once the controller crashes, it no longer registers any inputs, and the last input prior to crashing is held until the controller is disconnected and reconnected. Not just in-game either, but also when I use Xbox Accessories too. My pc and multiple different programs still register that my controller is plugged in, but none of the inputs work after it's crashed. The problem has persisted across multiple games. I have tried restarting my pc, I've tried reinstalling the controller drivers, as well as updating the controller. The only thing I can think of that I haven't tried, is swapping out the USB cable. And to be clear, the game still runs fine after this happens.

I've connected my controller to my Xbox one and had no problems with it on there. But on Windows 10 the controller keeps crashing mid-game. The only solution I found to mitigate the issue was to lower the in-game framerate cap to 45fps. But today it's started crashing on 45fps too, so now If I want to use my controller I have to play at 30fps.

I don't know if there's a solution, but I hope I can get some advice on this

I had this issue around a year ago. I could tell you all the 10 steps I followed to solve it, unfortunately what helped me to solved this was to restart my PC as it comes here:

In the part of Windows 10 click on "Reset this PC" these instructions will help you to solve the problem, you can even leave your important files!

My elite 2 when connected to PC via bluetooth loses connection and I am also experiencing sudden frame rate drops which I do not see when playing it with wired or keyboard or mouse. I did not had any issues with Elite 1 which connected via a usb
dongle. I updated the controller and the bluetooth feature is broken. Anyone got it to work on PC via bluetooth without any issues?

exactly the same issue here, have no problem with using my xbox one s controller on PC, but lots of disconnections and frame rate drops with elite 2

Ori the blind forest, I can't play anymore, because I can't double jump the correct way .

People who play this game is playing in on PC only, and they purchased it on stream. If you go to twitch.tv. And in the category of this game all r playing it on PC.

Maybe I should hook up a mouse and keyboard to my Xbox one s! Since I no luck with my experience Xbox controllers that I purchased at Bestbuy!

No ,when I connect my Xbox one s controller that came with the system . I have the same problem.

It's like the console and the controller isn't working together!

Or there frame rates are dropping.

I have no way to check if there frame rates drops.. that could be the casue .

I watch alot of YouTube games and some has meantion if the frame rate is dropping . Then it's difficult to play the game!!!

I'm not sure what to do.

There are many benefits to gaming on PC besides better graphics and higher frame rates.

That depends on if you want better image quality or higher frame rates from games, if so then yes but if it's not something you really care about all that much then stick with the One S.

Higher frame rates? It's not going to have higher frame rates, better resolution yes, but not frame rate. The 60FPS has always been a thing with only their exclusive titles.
