My Xbox one elite console 1TB making high pitched noise

Okay so when my fan on my xbox one slowly starts making a high pitched noise then when the fan is warm it makes a high pitched squeaky noise not mega loud but lets just say if I didn't have headphones I wouldn't be able to play it

Any advice guys it's still under warrenty with the store I bought it from Is it something very bad am I in trouble with my xbox one?

Xbox One making strange high pitched noises

I have an Xbox One that is making strange high pitched (beeping sort of, sounds sort of like a malfunctioning fire alarm) noises during an update. I haven't updated nor used the console in a while... I have heard the "high pitched whirring" noises coming
from my Xbox but this sounds different. Is it just my Xbox updating or do I have an issue with it?

Whistling noise?

My Xbox 360 was making a high pitched whistling noise while playing Forza 4. After five minutes of that noise it freezes. It's only happend twice but thats when my console was horizontal.

I don't think so. But, from your description it sounds like a premature failure of the fan bearings and should be addressed sooner rather than later. You stated that it was "still under warrenty with the store"...? Do you mean it's still covered by Microsoft
Xbox warranty or do you mean you can still return it back to the store? If it is the latter, may I suggest you start there and see if you can return it for a replacement at the store. If the store's return policy become an issue, your next step would be to
contact Microsoft Xbox Support for repair or replacement of your Xbox (see URL) support.xbox.com/en-US/browse/xbox-one/warranties-and-repair/Product%20service . Good Luck

On my second Xbox One at the moment.. The first one made an extremely high-pitched noise that could be heard from across the room. Once I received my replacement from Gamestop, the new console was completely silent ... For the first week and a half. Now
the new console makes a similar high-pitched noise that can be heard from across the room.. I can put a game case over the One's main vent, and the sound won't be heard at all... But obviously, I don't want to do that and risk overheating. The worst part is..
the new console even freezes during gameplay. (Not too frequent, however).

So yeah, my Xbox makes that noise as well, something that shouldn't happen.

My sunset overdrive console is also similar. Does it make a high pitched-ish noise when sitting 3-4 feet away? Mine does.

It might be the fans ball barrings causing the noise. If it's still under warranty send it in to get looked at.
