My Xbox One download speed only runs at 2mbps

Hey guys,

As the title says, my download speed only runs at 2mbps, which can be really annoying as I often disconnect from games like Destiny when there are too many people in the game (ie Raids).

I live in Perth, WA. I recently moved to Ellenbrook and we have Dodo unlimited internet. My parents chose Dodo because of their cheap international call prices (to call relatives in UK) so I don't know how ideal that ISP is for gaming, but things have been
going really slowly. Last weekend I went out and purchased a new modem router (Netgear N600 because it was a recommended option by a few people). And that boosted my Xbox One download speed to 4mbps. However one week later it has dropped to 2. (sometimes under).

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to improve my Xbox download speed? I am even using a wired connection.

Other devices on our network are our main computer (is never on) my laptop (which I usually turn off before gaming cause I dont want it to interfere) two iphones (on most of the time but rarely use internet on them) and an ipad (probably uses a fair bit,
my mom loves Candy Crush )

If anyone could provide any suggestions I'd be really grateful, cant hit lvl 30 on Destiny without that Raid Gear haha

Network speeds slow in detailed report compared to IE speed test

I've been experiencing abysmal download speeds on my new Xbox one. 200mb files that typically finish within a couple minutes at my full network capacity are taking upwards of an hour, never mind the 30GB+ downloads for game purchases. I checked the connection
speed in the detailed view of network settings and found The XB1 was only pulling 2Mbps of my 50Mbps allotment that I see on a wired PC. Thinking my wireless was to blame I ran a speed test on my phone from the same location which reported 40+Mbps. I then
ran a speed test using IE on the XB1 which reported 14+Mbps, not perfect, but still leaps better than 2Mbps via the system report. Help?

 

Xbox One download and upload speed are too slow

Hi, I have an issue with the Xbox One. My download and upload speed are too slow ( 2Mbps, when normally both are 20 Mbps) and i can't play online well because it lags. On my PC the connection is perfect. What should I do?

 

4mbps download speed doesn't matter that much, what matters most is the latency.. it should not be more than 40-70ms.. I saw that DODO offers dial-up and broadband Internet. Check if it's dial up.. and if it is dial-up then I would recommend upgrading to
broadband..

Even if your download speed is 10mbps but you'll have latency of around 150-350ms. it's still useless...

that latency thing is how fast data packets travel from your xbox through ur ISP's line going to the servers and back to the console.. now if Latency is higher. that means you get the data that you need a little late.. and that makes your account disconnected
from Live. ^_^
