    My Xbox One doesn't read games


    Good morning/good evening, Firstly I'm French so I'm sorry if I make mistakes. So, my xbox One doesn't want to read the games, I don't hear the lauching "noise" and no image of the CD on TV. Then, If a CD is reading, a griding noise appears. I have already
    sent my Xbox to the SAV 1 month ago, for the same problem.

    Do you know if I have to send my Xbox again ? And what's the origin of the problem please ?

    Xbox doesn't read game

    I have Borderlands: THC in my Xbox but I can't download either game. I had them downloaded before but uninstalled them because my Xbox thought I didn't own the disc.

    Xbox One Disc reading issue

    My one year old Xbox one doesn't read any backwards compatible Xbox 360 discs, spins for 2 seconds and stops , doesn't even attempt to spin , and then it will not eject , all games tried are backwards compatible. Xbox one discs read and spin with no issues,
    has anybody else experienced this problem ?

    contact support and see what they say am sure you can send for replacement or a fix

    Ok thank you ! I think I'll ask if I could replace my Xbox, I don't want to send it once again, for the same problem, 1 month later.

    Maybe you can use a cleaning-cd. It can clean up the lense.

    I use this sometimes in my xbox 360 :)

    Opening your console will VOID your warranty, I would avoid doing that. You can try the steps below from the Xbox Support team:

    Try the following solutions if none of your discs will play, or if you insert a disc and your console doesn't recognize it. If your Xbox Home screen tells you to insert a disc when a disc is already inserted, that means it doesn't recognize your disc.
    In these scenarios, there are two possible issues:

    • The settings for instant-on power mode can render a small number of consoles unable to read discs.
    • The console's disc drive needs servicing.

    Solution 1: If you use instant-on power mode, change power modes and power cycle the console

    1. Press the Xbox button

      to open the guide.
    2. Select System > Settings > General >
      Power mode & startup.
    3. Select Power mode, and then select Energy-saving.
    4. Perform a "hard power cycle" by holding down the Xbox button

      on the console for 10 seconds. Once the console has completely shut down, press the
      Xbox button
      [​IMG]

      on the console again to restart it.
    5. Try your disc again. Wait a few seconds to see if the console recognizes it. If the console can now read the disc, you can revert to instant-on power mode.

    Follow the above steps if the problem happens again.

    Solution 2: Request a repair

    If the previous solution didn't fix the issue, your console will need a repair. Go to

    My Xbox one doesn't read my external Hard-disc

    I've got some questions for you!

    Is your external drive not detected at all when connected to the Xbox? Is it able to be detected on a computer? If you are able to see it with a computer, try reformatting the drive as NTFS, and see if the Xbox recognizes it now.

    Also, in order for an external drive to be used for storing and loading games, please note that the requirement is that it must be USB 3.0, and at least 256GB in size. Is it using a USB 3.0 connection?
