    My Xbox One doesn't read any kind of disc anymore.


    Two weeks ago my Xbox One has stopped reading Xbox 360 games. I wanted to play a game that had already been installed on the console and which I had played without problems many times. Though, Xbox One games worked regularly. One week ago, anyway, the console
    stopped reading even Xbox One games. At first, it showed me an error, but soon ended up doing nothing but a strange noise. The only game which worked was ReCore. Today, I found out that neither that game works anymore. All the games I downloaded from the store
    works perfectly.

    I don't know if this is a problem concerning the new update or if it is a problem concerning the disc player. Could you help me, please? If you can anwer in Italian, it would be better, but I can speak English, too. Thank you very much.

    Laser burn on my COD Ghosts

    So my gf bumped my xbox while I was away and I now have a laser burned COD Ghosts disc 1. I can start up the game but as soon as I head into any kind of match it won't read anymore. So my question is, if I borrow disc 1 from a friend and install it
    to my hard drive, will/should that correct the problem??

    I would also recommend checking the disks for scratches and or contacting Xbox support at https://support.xbox.com/

    Hey,

    I recommend to use a air can in front of the disc drive. I had an issue like this before and that helped me, if you run out of options.

    Just wanted to pop in and say that I'm the person who created the post that Niels linked.

    I can confirm that this is not an issue with any of my discs, as they all are read perfectly fine on my OG xbox One, and perfectly fine on my One S after restarting the console or letting it boot without my external HDD connected. I think this is also pretty
    clear evidence that the disc drive itself is not faulty.

    I can replicate the issue 100% of the time, and my solutions are 100% effective until I fully shutdown the console. As I said in my post, I believe this is an issue with the Xbox "waking up" the external HDD and interfering with the initialization of the
    disc drive.
