  1. My Xbox One does not see any wireless networks.

    Dear Support,

I did not turn on my Xbox One for quite a while (several months). Last time I turned it on, it asked for an update. I did that update and I was sure that it worked fine.

Today I turned it on and found out that it did not connect to Wi-Fi network. I have gone to the settings to set it up manually, but found that the console does not see a single available wireless network in range (although there are actually at least 3-4
    networks around).

Then I decided to try to set up the wireless network automatically, but when I entered the SSID of my network, I have got the following error that The console supports only WPA/WPA2 - Personal, WPA-Personal and WEP security protocols.

Unfortunately, I double checked what security protocol is set on my router and it is WPA/WPA2-PSK, which is the same as WPA/WPA2-Personal.

Moreover, in the console settings I checked Advanced Settings in Networking and found out that even though the Wired Interface MAC address seems OK, wireless MAC address is 00-00-00-00-00-00, which is not right.

My obvious next step was to reset console to factory settings. I tried to do it and go the error with the number 0x80bd0023 and suggestion to look for it on xbox.com/errorhelp (which I did, but this error could not be found there). There were two options:
Connect and Continue without Connection. The first option get me back to the Network section of the Settings, where I had no luck before.

The second option made the reset, but after the reset I cannot do even the initial setup because the console again cannot connect to the wireless network (cannot see a single available network in range).

Could you, please, advise me on what it can be and how this can be rectified? I can theoretically connect the console using wired connection temporarily to install some updates or do some maintenance, but cannot connect it by wired connection permanently.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Best regards,

    Vitaly.

    :)

    360 Slim Doesn't See Network

My Xbox360 Slim wont see my wireless network. Every other device in my house connects to the network flawlessly. My Xbox occasionally sees my neighbours network. To be clear, it's not that my Xbox won't connect to the network, it usually claims there are no networks to connect to. Any help?

    Does Not See Wireless Networks

    Hi Reigny,

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. To add what wish mentioned, try clearing the alt mac address. Go to settings>general>network settings>adv settings>alt mac address and clear.

    Thanks,

    Brad
This is new for me to learn and I have done similar things on my desktop (I think) but is there ever any benefit to clearing this cache from time to time manually?

    Does Not See Wireless Networks

I've seen a few people writing about this same issue over the last 2 days, which makes me wonder if it might be an issue on Xbox's end. In the last week, Xbox has had several issues with servers and achievements and other things. If you try all of the
other suggestions, and nothing is working, I would just wait and keep trying later in the day or the next day. I know it's not much of an immediate help, but sometimes these issues will fix themselves and if you wait and try again later, you'll find that it
suddenly works. Best of luck and sorry you're dealing with this issue.
