    My xbox one does not read xbox 360 games


    Hello, buy the first xbox one that went on sale but it does not read my xbox 360 discs and it is supposed to read the xbox 360 games, but because it does not read my Halo Combat Evoled Anniversary game. If
    it is supposed to be in the list of compatible games and also the same box says that it reads the xbox 360 discs?

    Will the Xbox One play Xbox 360 games?

    My Xbox 360 has been acting up lately. The disc tray will no longer open so I cannot play my games. I actually found my brother's old one from before he got a newer 360, but it doesn't always read the disc and randomly stops playing. I want to get a Xbox
    One, but if it does not play 360 games I will just get a new 360 for now. If it does play 360 games (I hope it does) I will just get a Xbox One.

    You need to connect to live with the disc in to download the patch

    Hi,

    is the console connected to Xbox Live? You need an internet connection to download the BW Compatible version of the game if you own the original disc.

    You need to connect to live if you are maybe there is some damage on the disc so your one couldn't read the disc

    My xbox one does not read xbox 360 games

    The console does not "read" Xbox 360 discs.

    It simply detects the copy protection on the Xbox 360 disc, and then downloads a backwards compatible emulation image from the Xbox marketplace.

    So make sure your console is connected online and the disc is detected.

    If the disc isn't detected properly, try to eject the disc and hold the power button on the console for about 10 seconds.

    Restart the console again, and make sure the console shows you a green boot screen. If not, hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds again.

    Then insert the disc again, and check if the console now detects the disc properly, and downloads the backwards compatible version.
