My xbox one does not allow me to set it as "my home xbox"

its been like since i bought it 3 years ago. I would really appreciate any help i can recieve for this, especially since i read of the benefits of setting up a home xbox

You would have to try contacting support to see if there is anything they can do. Keep in mind that there is a limit of 3 changes per year. The year is after your last change, not January 1st. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or

Xbox One not letting set it as my "home system"

I recently changed from my Halo 5 system to the elite XBO, but it won't let me set it as my home system. I did a change or two last year, but seeing as we are 25 days into a new year I don't see why it's limiting me.

Is there any way to clear this out so that I can make my XBO Elite console my new home system?

You would need to set his console as your Home console.
https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/console/my-home-xbox The Home setting is what allows you to share games and gold. The family settings only allow you to have parental control over accounts and does not effect sharing.

I set my Xbox as my home Xbox and it allowed me to open the game but still have the same issue.

It is 100% set as my home xbox. It allowed me to play Fortnite but not Modern Warfare 2

Make sure your wife's account has the console set as her Home console. This will allow the other accounts to access the games and gold on her account.

Plants vs. Zombies is an online only game. So it does require a subscription and connection to play.
