My Xbox one controller won't turn on the console after a few day without turning on the ...

Same here, with the AC bundle purchased a few weeks before Christmas.

Really sad to see that Microsoft support are going back to the ""make sure your console is plugged directly into a wall" solution for all problems. I believe this has NOTHING to do with the above, and more about a flaw in the programming.

 

I have the same problem. AC unity bundle console bought on January 30th. Never had this problem before and it just randomly dis it about 10 minutes ago. and i was just on it about 30 mins ago. i keep my console on energy saving mode (the xboz bootloader
screen deos not bother me like sum impatient people). Hopefully microsoft can get these issues fixed. like why can't we play music in tye background anymore without having that stupid media player app attached to 30% Of the *** screen. Also microsoft please
fix the issue where i can't control weather i wanna hear the chat volume through my tv speakers when my mic is plugged in. thays annoying! There is no section in the settings of the console to let u adjust how the chat volume compares to game volume! My fiance
likes to watch me play gta online and listen to the cpnversations and laugh with me. Now she can't cause she can't hear the voices through my tv speakers anymore!!!! Come on Microsoft , this was about taking all the great things about the 360 that we loved
and putting them in a better console! Bring back those functionality features we loved about the 360 like ability to control chat vs. game volume and the ability to play music in the background without having to have the media player app attached! And fix
the *** controller issue already. i mean come on ur Microsoft for god's sake, its just a *** contoller!

 

I cannot turn on my console from the controller or from he console itself unless I do a hard reboot.

 

Started having this problem a couple days ago. It was happening mainly when I didn't quit my game or app that I was playing. But when I went to start tonight I had to manually start it.

 

Update... I make sure to quit the app or game I'm playing completely before shutting down. I also turned off my Kinnect since I'm not using it. Not sure if one or both of these things may have something to do with the problem. So far this seems to be solving
my problem.

 

I'm there with you guys. This just started happening and I'm not sure why. I have my console set to energy savings and my controller doesn't wake it up. I hope Windows 10 fixes this issue.

 

Update... I've found this has nothing to do with Kinnect turned on. What I've found is that I have to quit the game or app that I'm playing from the home screen on xbox one. As long as I don't leave the game or app running when I shut down my system I can
turn on the system from my controller no problem. But if I don't take the time to quit the app or game when I shut down the controller will not power the system back on. Same goes if I'm downloading a game or if it receives an update while powered down. the
controller will not power on the system when I come back to it.

Something about leaving a game or app running, or if the system receives an update when powered off, it breaks the sync with the controller.

At least this is the problem I'm having with it. Hopefully microsoft can fix this in their next system update and hopefully this will help a few of you out there.

It's a bad console. I opened a case and did an advanced exchange, $400 deposited and they send you a new console and you are not charged when you return your old one. My problems are now resolved. Everything is working perfectly. Just do the exchange now
before your warranty runs out.

 

I also had this problem, but found Spyroman12's suggestion worked a treat. So, thanks Spyroman12.

1) Turn off your console, unplug all the cords connect to your console

2) Place your finger on the power button for 30 seconds (yes, while everything is unplugged)

3) Plug everything in, and turn on the console

Once the console is plugged in and turned on, follow these next steps

1) On the controller, take out the batteries

2) Place your finger on the power button on the controller for 30 seconds

3) Put batteries back in.

I've run into the same problem. I've tried the quick fixes mentioned on this thread. I chatted with xbox support and they wanted to replace my controller. I'll try these quick fixes first. Has anyone else have the problem reoccur after they tried the
fixes mentioned on this thread?
