    My Xbox one controller won't turn on at all.


    Basically a couple of days ago, I was just cleaning my Xbox one controller with some sanitary wipes and there wasn't any water with it, I'm putting this detail in incase it has to do with something with my problem but going onwards, my controller just
    shut off and died when I got back to my couch after cleaning it. I turned it on a couple of more times and it turns off again and it's not my Xbox play and charge kit, because I checked that it was partially full on the TV screen. Then it turns off again for
    the final time and I try using my USB cord to plug it in, usually it shows a light but when I plug it in it doesn't show one, I tried my other Xbox one controller and the play and charge kit worked fine, battery and USB. Functions like normal, my Xbox one
    is up to date, my controller drivers are up to date, but I think my controller has suffered some issue where it has poor connection, I press and hold the Xbox button with very hard pressure and it won't turn on. I've tried the hard reset method, didn't work,
    I've swapped it with full Duracell batteries that came bundled with the controller, didn't work. I've basically tried every method I could find but it just won't work. So please help me if you have a solution.

    I have tried turning everything off and disconnected everything, turned on the tv and connected the xbox to the amp and connected the amp to the tv making sure I plugged in to a arc input and turned that on I made sure the hdmi control on my amp was turned on my xbox will turn my amp on but my amp won't control my tv my old one s console had option to separately control both tv and amp but my series x console only has one option for cec control

    The best solution for this hardware issue is... get a PS4. I did and can't be happier.

    I am having this same problem. I have gone through the reset power supply solution and the light always stays on, but the console won't power on. It tries to, but won't get there. Is there a reason for this? Is it an easy fix I can do at home? I really don't
    have the money right now to send in the console for repairs, let alone buy a new one.

    If possible can you try following the support guide below selecting the option of I need to update my console offline. When the troubleshhoting screen first loads try the option to reset this Xbox and when prompted select to keep games and apps.

    If this does not then try completing the update offline on the console
