My Xbox one controller won't detect my headset

I just bought a brand new xbox one controller and have been using it for 2 or 3 days when suddenly my controller stopped detecting it. I have looked over other troubleshooting websites and know seem to work. There is no damage to the controller or headset
and I have cleaned the adapter and jack for both. i have also powered off my console many times and tried to update my controller. none of these troubleshooting methods seem to work and I was wondering if anyone new any alternative strategies to fix this without
me having to buy another controller or headset.

I Had this problem a couple weeks ago, my headset stop working by nowhere so I do that steps to Fix and the headset goes to work. Try follow the Steps what the Brad's indicated and Works

Hello Peter,

Thanks for coming to the forums. We recommend trying and run the update for controller, even if there is no update. This check re-syncs the headset and controller.
Go to settings>Kinect and devices>devices and accessories>Click the …> Hit A on Firmware version and then update now. Also try the headset in a phone or other device make sure it is working. If still cant get to work I would take the controller
back to where you purchased.

Try this and let us know.

I'm Facing The Same Problem, windows is not detecting my headsets through my new xbox one controller with the 3.5 mm jack. Pls Someone help me out

If the game doesn't detect the Mic, then it won't work. Alternatively you can connect your Xbox headset mic to your controller and use that for some Guitar Hero titles.

Hello there,

Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. Just to clarify, have you tried to update the controller, or connect the controller to the Xbox One with a USB cable? When you connect the headset to the new controller does the controller detect the headset and
there just isn't any sound coming out of the headset? or does the controller not detect the headset at all for either controller? Does the headset work on other devices?
