    My Xbox One controller has issues again like my old one with the thumbsticks.


    What has happened with my Xbox One controller? During the game today and yesterday, my right stick movement moved up on it's own at times and it's annoying. Was there a malfunction in my controller when I first got it? Why is it happening? Who is responsible for giving me malfunctioned controller?

    The accessories warranty is 90 days. If it is out of warranty, taking it to an electronics repair shop will be cheaper than buying a new one. I think I have a bit of luck, my Original Xbox One controller works perfectly, so does the Xbox One S controller and now I have a Series X controller, let's see what happens.

    If your controller is under warranty I recommend ordering a replacement, mate.

    I have the same problem , R Button is pointing up ALL the time, used Just a few times in 100days.

    See if clearing the console cache helps you. If the problem persists you have instructions on how to send the controller for replacement on the link.

    Press and hold the console power button until the console turns off, remove the console power cord for 1 minute. Turn on the console

    Does this happen if you hard wire the controller to the Xbox via a USB cable too? You could try downloading a controller tester app from the MS Store. I'm not sure if they can pick up issues like you describe, I know one I used picked up drift in one of
    my thumbsticks in an old 360 controller of mine. Might be worth a shot.
