My Xbox One Controller Got Bricked

Just used xbox accesories in windows 10 anniversary to update my xbox one controller and now is bricked. This is *** ridiculous.

I would like to get a new controller for my xbox. I have tried all the step on the computer and nothing is working. The controller got wet so it will not work

If the controller got wet, any warranty will now be void, you will need to purchase a new controller from any retail store online or brick and mortar store.

I have done two refunds. One got approved and one got denied. It was under the same exact circumstances. Got two different games and both had horrible controller input lag/bricking my system (with a wired controller). I bought them the same day and
asked for a refund that same day for both. The first one they refunded because it was a known issue. The second one told me that the game developers are fixing the issue and would not refund me the money.

I recently installed the XBOX accessories app on windows 10 1809. After connecting my xbox one controller via USB, the device appeared in the app. After starting a firmware update, the controller seems to switch off, and progress of the firmware update
remains at 0%. The controller cannot be switched on, and windows device manager only reports a 'Xbox One-controller DFU'. In other words. It has been bricked by that nice little Microsoft app. Great.

Is there a way to restore the controller, not requiring a Xbox, since I haven't got one?

It's just on a wood shelf. Got plenty of room above it

One side is controllers and capture card box and on the other there's some room before the metal barrier to the shelf (I used to have my power brick in this space but I've since moved it)
