    My Xbox One controller disconnects from the console even when wired


    So I was going to go use my Xbox One but when I connected my controller to the console it would work fine for about 10 secs. After the 10 secs, it would completely stop working. No buttons work, but the controller is still lit. I managed to go into the Device
    and Accessories screen and when the controller is in the time frame that it is functional it would say that it is connected. But after the 10 secs, the console would pop up with a message saying "Your device is no longer connected. Connect the device to see
    its details." This is happening both on wireless and wired and when I connected the controller to the PC, it is unrecognizable. Please someone help me with this because I literally woke up and this happened and I have no idea how the controller got to this
    point.

    Need help with my wired controler

    My Wired controller keeps disconnecting from my Xbox one. I don't even move and it disconnects and I don't know why. Is it the wire or something else? Do I need to buy a new controller or is it fixable?

    Hello,

    Yes, the USB cable while plugged into the Xbox One controller will force the data to and from the controller to the console over USB, thus making it a wired controller.

    This is also evident when unplugging and plugging in the USB, the controller disconnects for a brief period to resync.

    The only thing connected is a External Harddrive and I've tried it with and without it and it'll still disconnect. I also can confirm now that the controller will disconnect even when wired in to the console.

    I also have this problem, I did what was instructed on the on the support page for this problem. I hard reset the Xbox and this only temporarily worked. I cleared everything around my Xbox but still this keeps happening. It has gotten so bad that my console
    also disconnects from my network when the controller disconnects. I have had to use wired network ever since but I'm still having the controller disconnecting problem. Could this possibly be just the console's signal weakening?

    Where did you purchase the Xbox One X console from? If none of the controllers are syncing even when you use a cable, that seems extremely odd. Do the controllers at least work properly when they are plugged in to the console via a wire? If the controllers
    are working on your old Xbox, but not the new one then it doesn't seem like they'd need to be updated either.
