    My Xbox One control is defective


    Hello, my Xbox One controller is no longer wanting to call. I tried to connect the control through the USB cable for 10 minutes on the console, change the batteries and clean it. Someone help solve this problem, please.

    Several small problems, worried they add up to indicate something bad!

    Sounds like your xbox came with a defective control...my guess is it got banged up during shipping....I would try to get a new one but customer support is pretty bad right now with everyone calling.

    When you say "I tried to connect the control through the USB cable for 10 minutes on the console", does that mean you were able to perform the steps outlined in "Connect
    a wireless Xbox One controller to your console    " ? If so, you may need to follow up with "Xbox One Wireless Controller disconnects or can't connect"

    Managed to update my controller, everything works perfect fine now but it would randomly lose response. Is my controller defective? I heard there are many defects when buying a $150 controller and you just gotta return and hope for a better one

    Some one did reach out to me by email today, waiting on hearing back from them. However this still persists to be an infuriating struggle to have Xbox replace a defective controller that was sent to replace the first defective controller!

    So we will see what comes from this email thread. Not going to hold my breath though!

    I have an xbox one elite controller, it's working fine - Use it as my primary controller and the grips / buttons all work fine, you must have been unlucky and received a defective unit.
