My xbox one continues to turn on randomly in the middle of the night

Your Xbox is haunted. Pouring a circle of salt around the console would be your first step. If the problem persists, there are several avenues you can pursue. Please see the following support articles:

In all seriousness, that seems to be an issue related to either a controller incorrectly receiving the input to turn your console on, or as you guessed, with your kinect. I'm not seeing a support article on this specific issue. Have you considered a hard
power down before going to bed? Holding down the power button for 10 seconds. That will take it out of instant-on mode, and might address your issue.

yeah i've also been having this problem IDK Y but it does turn its self on

Hi Borden85 have you tried to gently wipe the power button on the front of the console with a soft cloth just in case it small amount of dirt/grease on it?

Gave it a shot. Looked pretty clean. Time will tell!

I have done that. And yes, I have done the hard power down, which keeps it off. I guess I will have to get used to not using instant on mode or replace the kinect. Bummer!
