My Xbox one console turns it on itself even if i have no kincent connected (packed becuase we are moving out... anyway even if i dont touch or changes anything in settings and enegry or power whatever it is in settings. I dont edit anything in there...it
been acting up turn it on itself almost everyday when im not home ( i dont have any pets) or when im home but, was cleaning the kitchen, and i noticed it turned on itself i was like what are you serious!? i would get on and play every weekend becuase im
working during weekdays ( overnight job) i came home in the morning and noticed xbox is on ( i dont have xbox app on my phone) I woke up everyday late afternoon noticed its on itself... so from now on whe nim done playing i have to turn off the conseole
then unplug every time i stop play xbox. can anyone tell me whats wrong with console or power box ?

You sound really worried. You shoukd not be Xbox is for your enjoyment. Especially in these times. Some of the games and even the system itself needs updates from time to time. These can be done automatically. Which would mean the system would be on.
You can change these in your settings or leave it as is. Just enjoy your games, friends and community. Have a great day.

Sometimes your Xbox will turn itself on when it needs to update. I would recommend checking to see if there are any software updates you need to perform. In some situations, it’s very necessary for the Xbox to update, so it will do this if not done manually.
I would have to guess the update would be for the new layout that Xbox has created recently.

Another possibility is that you have a slightly faulty controller where one of the buttons is slightly pressed in

This turns on an xbox as well when it's turned off (pressing and holding a button)

The controllers that do not have battery packs, are they plugged in through play n charge ?

Oh man, hearing those screams at 1 am would scare me senseless, haha. Anyways, I'm guessing it's the Slim model? Try unplugging everything from the console and let it sit. If it is the slim model, clean off the power and eject button on the console. Also,
take out the hard drive and then reinsert it firmly.

I know there have been other posts on these forums, i'll take a look through to see if I can remember what has been done to solve this issule.

my friend started that xbox one a third time and that xbox closed by itself, my friend turned it on and then it turned it off again, he turned it on again, and it reset it by itself now the problem is fixed and we are still in sharing license....... This
game console is very strange.
