My Xbox one connects to 2.4 GHz internet, so games don't work?

Recently connecting to the internet on my Xbox One I noticed for some reason it connects to the internet and it says 2.4ghz. So for whatever reason games don't work on my Xbox, but streaming services do like Hulu and hbogo. How do I return the Xbox to its normal state? Please help

    :)

Well no. I've been using the same internet and router for a few years. As far as I know nothing changed with my internet either.

When attempting to play a game I get a message that says I need to sign into my account, as though I'm not connected to my internet.

Testing Network settings says "it's all good you're console is connected to the internet"

And Testing NAT type says "open"

testing multiplayer says "it's all good. There are no problems"

Thanks for responding. Let me know if you have any idea about the issue

    Hi there!

To confirm, are you using a different or new network setup for your internet connection?

What exactly is the error message you get when you try to play your games online?

If you have a 5Ghz wireless network, try to connect from it.

Please also check or test your network connection and let me know about the results.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.
Select Test network connection, Test Multiplayer connection, and Test NAT type.

I appreciate all the information. Have you tried to connect your console through a wired connection using an Ethernet cable from your router to identify isolate the issue?

I suggest to simply power cycle your console. Press and hold the Xbox power button for 10 sec until it turns off. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

Do the same on your router. Unplug it from the power source and wait at least 5 minutes before turning it back on.
