My xbox one checks for updates very long.

Hello, my xbox one after rebooting and removing accounts from it and restarting everything worked fine up to "checking for updates." For over an hour trying to do this. Is it normal? How to deal with it? Thank you in advance for your help!

Yeah I would restart the console and try again. It'll pick up where you left off.

I'm sorry your having issues but you can also do an offline update if you need to. I had to do this on my living room Xbox. You just need a thumb drive. Here is the link for Offline

I dont know 100% but i think there is no option to cancel the Update and play the game itself without unplug the Network Connection. On the 360 i could choose to disagree the Update and play Offline. The XB1 says (with LAN) install or abort, but abort is
here no play.

Far far away from NextGen, MS must necessarily rectify it in next time. Future looks different.
