Are you able to test it on another computer to see if it works? Just so we can rule out that this is not the Xbox one Bluetooth adapter becoming faulty.

In this case, since it all started happening after you installed an update, lets try to uninstall it:

Go to Start > Settings (the gear icon) > Update & Security > Windows Update and select View Update History to see all the recent updates that have been installed. Click the Uninstall Updates link at the top of the page and select the one you think that caused the issue.

You can try to restore your system to a point where you think the adapter was working - if it was caused by a driver, software or update installed, it will start work again.

This option takes your PC back to an earlier point in time, called a system restore point. Restore points are generated when you install a new app or driver, and when you create a restore point manually. Restoring won’t affect your personal files, but it will remove apps, drivers, and updates installed after the restore point was made.

- Go to Start > Search and click on Control panel.
- In the Control panel search box, type Recovery.
- Select Recovery > Open system restore.
- In the Restore system files and setting box, select Next.
- Select the restore point that you want to use in the list of results, and then select Scan for affected programs.
- You'll see a list of items that will be deleted if you remove this restore point. If you're OK with the deletions, select Close > Next > Finish.

I can not restore from before the windows update, there is no restore point from then. Only one is from today when I was trying to figure out problems with drivers from earlier today with the command prompt hardware wizard.

So trying to fix the issue is not possible with a restore point sadly.
