My Xbox one and controller keeps shutting off

Hey there ZeldaNinjaRex,

It's possible that the console with the liquid spilled on it, has caused an issue with the hardware that interacts with the wireless controller. Have you tried to plug the controller in VIA USB and see if the same issue persists? We do have a

guide for the Xbox One randomly shutting off, but this doesn't sound like an overheating issue. Give it a shot though and see if it helps.

The reason why the Troubleshooting Guide for XB1 controllers doesn't work most times is because a very important step is missing.

The controllers themselves are wireless, and in order to reassign or update them this requires you to have a USB cable - HOWEVER, this MUST be done whilst no batteries/battery pack are attached. The reason for this is, when on, the controllers are constatly
trying to connect wirelessly, which disables connecting them with the cable... as a result, you're shooting yourself in the foot trying to fix them.

Microsoft really should update their guides to reflect this.

I tried it on my brother's console and they work.

For me turning off the device association service worked in fixing this

Could you possibly take your controllers to a friend or family member's house and try it on their console? That would help to determine if it is in fact a problem with the console. Let us know. Good Luck!
