My Xbox no longer reads my USB flash drive. It shows up as a unconfigured UBS drive. How can I ...

So my girlfriend and I moved in together and we decided to retire my old gen 1 xbox 360 and begin to use her new xbox 360 slim. Her Xbox only had a 4gb hard drive so we opted to buy a 32gb flash drive until we got a new hard drive. So I moved all my game
saves and content (16gbs worth) onto this flashdrive so that I could play on this new xbox. It worked for a day or two, then we turned on the console to play some dungeon defenders but the games did appear. I went to the system memory and the flash drive read
as unconfigured. Nothing showed up beyond the option to "configure" and "customize".

After reading some threads of similar problems I plugged my flashdrive into the computer and it powered just fine and dandy. No files appeared within it though, No hidden files, nothing (on windows 7 laptop) I did however check the properties and found that
16gb were still claimed on the device. I have some hope that I can access them and store them onto a new flashdrive for just enough time to put them on a new HDD. I just dont know how.

    Please help.

    thanks!

    :)

    Need serious help!

This is just an utter disaster; I transferred my Dark Souls save onto an USB Flash Drive and then put that Flash Drive in my computer, since I wanted to see if it was possible to download Dark Souls saves and characters online, just for the fun of it. I then found a save, put it in the Flash Drive and then back into my Xbox 360.
I then did all the configuration of the device and it said okay, but when I opened the contents of the Flash Drive, it doesn't detect any of my saves at all.

Horrified, I tried to take out and insert the device again, but my Xbox says that the Flash Drive includes 0 kb -- meaning none.

    Any ideas what to do?

    USB Flash Drive Help!

    Hey guys!

I have an 4GB 360 Slim, but I used a 16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive to store my game saves, profiles and other stuff, and from time to time made backups to my PC if something happens. Well, my 16GB Flash Drive broke down, but I had a backup on my PC, so I thought
"I will get a new Flash Drive and play again!"

So I got a new 32GB Flash Drive, put my Xbox files on it, put the Flash Drive on Xbox, but on Xbox it shows nothing, it just asks me to format it, but I have it done multiple times, so I need your help now!

Any suggestions how to make my saves work again on the new Flash Drive? Thanks for any help!

  5. Unfortunately, not all Flash drives are the same, different manufacturers use different types of flash chips, with different speeds and capabilities. Some Flash drive makes will work just fine with a PC, but don't work well with the Xbox 360. These drives
will lose data or become unformatted. There isn't anything that can be done if this happens and there is no way to recover the data either.

If your drive becomes unformatted after only a few days use, then you should try a different brand of Flash drive.

XBOX-360, Rear USB ports do not recognize USB-Memory Sticks

+ I have two USB thumb drives, when I plug these into the front USB ports, the lights flash on the drive and they show up in the storage devices listing; however, neither drive (one is 32GB the other is 2GB) lights up nor is recognized as storage
    devices.
    Should read:
