    Xbox turned off by itself last night but before it turned off by itself and made this really weird noise/ sound effect and now when I turn it back on every time I turned it back on the sound of used to make isn't it more and now it makes a totally different
    sound is anyone else experiencing this

    Power On Problems Since Preview Update

    I'm just curious if anyone else is having this issue. I'm part of the preview program and with this new update I've run into a problem when turning off my Xbox. I've always used the "Instant-On" function in the power options, I checked it today and it's
    still ticked on "Instant-On" however, whenever I turn my console off now, upon powering it back on, it goes through the whole boot cycle (green Xbox One screen, black Xbox One logo) before coming back on, I won't be able to resume games as the whole system
    has just restarted. Is anyone else having this issue and is this something that can be fixed either by myself or Xbox?

    Anyone else having issues turning the system on??? First I got the green screen and it was booting forever then shut off now when I power on it makes the chime sound but now picture kinect and controller both turn on but nothing on screen.. Xbox support
    wait time are INSANE! Anyone else having issues?

    Hey there, James!

    I'm sorry to see any alien sounds coming from the console! It looks like I'm joking, but being technical here those noises are alien compared to what you're used to. My Xbox makes a new sound effect and I've never heard before when turning it on or off is ... ;)

    I haven't seen this issue in a while, but you should be able to turn off the power chime on the console by going to Settings > All settings > Power & startup > Power mode & startup > Startup chime. I would turn this off, and then power cycle
    your console by holding the power for 8-10 seconds. When it comes back on, it shouldn't chime. To test it out further, touch the power button to simply turn it off. Once you confirm that the sound is no longer chiming, then turn it back on. That should fix
    the sound issue.

    Let me know how it goes! We'll want to look at other troubleshooting steps together if we need to. My Xbox makes a new sound effect and I've never heard before when turning it on or off is ... :)

    Xbox one s on and off and no signal on my tv

    Also when my Xbox turns off it makes a weird sound that I have never heard before.

    Sphinx it didn't work.

    Every time I turn it on, I can hear the fan start to run and then it stops, but then it starts slowly while my TV still says no signal then my Xbox turns off. I would really want to play Xbox tonight and tomorrow.

    This is a shot in the dark. In your system settings for sound have you a background sounds option ? if so turn it off as that has a similar effect i've heard.
