My Xbox loses connection all the time while I’m playing a game

Okay so if i just connect to xbox live and stay on the dashboard all my save game files will be uploaded to the cloud automatically even if i don’t play them while i’m connected?

Does it lose connection while playing online games or just while playing games like Skyrim while connected? I've noticed my xbox loses connection every 20 minutes or so if it doesn't have an 'alive' connection. I'm bridged through a PC. If the connection
doesn't get used either from the PC bridge (I keep that alive by using ping) or at the console itself my connection is dropped.

Thanks for keeping us updated. If you were connected to Xbox live while playing, you will not lose any save data or achievements. The Xbox one saves those to the cloud server automatically as long as your connected to live while playing.

Your software and game updates should be there as well. From my experience, the console will take you to a screen that says "Time to update" but then it recognizes that your up to date and moves forward.

You can see it is possible to bridge or pass through the Ubee EVW3200 modem and once that is done in theory you should be able to connect up an Xbox live Compatible router

However... unless you know someone that already has a compatible router that you can borrow and test it - it means you'll have to take a gamble on whether it will work or not, it certainly should do but you won't know until you try it and pay for a new router

1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and then select System Settings.

2. Select Network Settings.

3. Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network, if you are prompted to do so.

4. Select Configure Network.

5. On the Basic Settings tab, select DNS Settings.

6. Select Manual.

7. Select Primary DNS Server.

8. Enter 4.2.2.1, then select Done.

9. Select Secondary DNS Server.

10. Enter 4.2.2.2, then select Done.

11. Select Done again.

12. Press the B button on your controller, and then select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

*Make sure you disable Port Forwarding and leave UPnP enabled.
