My Xbox Live GOLD Membership isn't working!

"This code isn't valid. Please enter a valid code" This is the message i always get when trying to redeem my XBOX LIVE GOLD MEMBERSHIP Prepaid Card that i got free with my Xbox 360 but yet when i try it on the computer it says "You now own Xbox LIVE Prepaid
1 month Gold Membership Card." but when I download my account onto my xBox it still says i need a Gold Membership to Play online plz help its spoiling the my entire xbox experience

I purchased an Xbox gold membership and it charged my account twice and the membership isn't working

I had to renew my Xbox live gold subscription and I was charged twice and my membership isn't even working.

The 1 month trial gold that comes with the console doesn't gives you access to all features. For example you can't join multiplayer games with the 1 month trial gold.

DangerousBard; That is incorrect my friend. A 1 month is a full Gold membership. It will display an account as Gold and you can play online with it. I can verify this since I've purchased several 1 month codes in the past. I've also had secondary accounts
using the free 1 month Gold trial on my console since it was a freshly created account and it had full access to everything that Gold members get.

DGYorke; Since you redeemed it on Xbox.com I'm afraid it'll take a little bit to show. Sometimes, for some reason, there is a delay between Xbox.com and your console. Give it a little bit and if nothing changes then contact Xbox Support via chat or phone.
Rest assured, a 1 month will allow you online once you get everything sorted out. Good luck!

Just wanted to add that if you don't want to wait but would like to speed up the verification process you can go to Settings>System>Network and run a Connection Test on your console. This would sign you out. When you sign back in you will show as a Gold
membership holder.

Just to add: DGYorke, it appears you're now Gold. Let us know if it's working. If not then definitely do what onyx62is suggested as that almost always fixes it once it shows on Xbox.com but not the console.

I'm having the same problem xTye.

I recently subscribed for a free month trial that is confirmed to be gold but I can't play my Overwatch game because it says that I don't have gold. Please help me!

Sorry to hear it. As this is an older thread I would like to suggest you create a new one detailing your issue. In the meantime your account is not showing as gold but as silver. You should double check to make sure that the membership was placed on the
proper account.

Xbox live Gold Membership isn't a contract, I didn't sign paper work for it and it isn't a creditor they don't run a credit company.

Hi, sorry to hear that's happening. I'd recommend the following troubleshooting steps:

-You can visit https://account.microsoft.com/services/ to double-check that the account you expect to have Xbox Live Gold still has the service listed as active.

-Also, make sure that the account with Xbox Live Gold is still signed into the console.

-Try a power cycle of your console. For instructions: https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console

-Try removing and then re-adding your profile from the Xbox (note that you'll need to know the email and password for your account to do this). For instructions: https://support.xbox.com/my-account/manage-gamertag-and-profile/add-remove-account-xbox-one

i think this applies to everyone who is already in the family membership not someone who transfers regions

if you had created the family membership and not added someone this may apply you will have to contact support as this is a new tool
