my Xbox literally will not do anything (what do I do?)

I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps here:

After each step try to see if the issue is fixed!

First, please select System > Settings > network > network settings >advanced settings > Alternate Mac address : Clear > restart.

Then, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2 to 3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox

if the issue persists, see if you’re experiencing an issue related to Network Address Translation (NAT): Troubleshoot NAT multiplayer Troubleshoot NAT multiplayer game issues

If the issue persists, please follow these steps in order to reset your console:

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.
2.Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

if you are still encountering the same issue, please try the following solutions mentioned on the link bellow in order to perform an offline update:

Literally nothing has fixed my problem, I have no idea what to do and it's driving me crazy. Anything else that could help?

What do your “terms of sale” say about selling me a broken product that I can’t do anything with??

give it away to charity youth centers or use it as a dvd player or cd player or just save it cause your son may need it one day
