My Xbox keeps turning off

Turn off the "broadcast SSID" feature on your router.this will make it so that he cannot see your network.then change the password.most routers have "password" or 1234 as the password depending on the model so anyone can get into any router that is broadcasting
a signal and using the default password.

The Xbox 360 is designed to shut itself down to protect itself from over heating. Do you see an error message to reflect this behavior when you start it up again after it shuts down?

I had this a few days back, it might just be because your xbox is overheating... does it have enough ventilation? if it's not my knowledge kind of ends here...

does it shut off while playing or even on the dashboard?
