My Xbox keeps turning off randomly

I had a friend with a similar issue and it turns out he had some dust over the power button. Maybe touched the button with some food residue that then allowed dust to stick to the power button and cause issues.

My suggestion would be to try cleaning the power button on the console and see if this helps and if not you could try the usual steps of holding in the xbox button for 10 seconds to power cycle the console. Then unplug the console for 5 minutes to allow
all power and static to leave the system. As an added precaution i like to also reset the Alternate MAC Address just to make sure all corrupt/old files are gone from the system and it gets a reebot.

Could be overheating, or if you've had it a while, the power supply might be dying. Mine unexpectedly gave out a month ago and had to buy a new one.

This issue have happend to me as well. This is probably becasue your xbox is overheated. Put it at a well ventilated area. As usual you may put it in the space on tv bench, but during the summer heat here my xbox got overheated and turned off. I chatted
with xbox support and I had to send my xbox for repair since the cpu was fried.

So change the posistion, Let it rest for a while and do a troubleshoot if it continous to happend.
