My Xbox keeps downloading and trying to install the last system update

I have tried downloading the last system update at least nine times. Every single time it downloads my system reboots goes through the blinking power lights like it's installing but when I turn it back on I get nothing but a black screen until I shut the
console completely off and when I reboot it, it comes up with the your system needs an update message again. Even worse if I try to use the system offline no game except lego Batman 3 registers any button presses and the only one the lego game registers is
one to skip the company logos. Under update status it does say update failed and gives an error message 0x8B050066.

Update Issues

I'm trying to install the update and it got to 28% and keeps cycling between downloading and installation stopped. Tried resetting router and modem, still same issue. Any help appreciated.

Xbox 360 Preview Update Failed

I'm also getting these issues. I've tried: clearing cache, re-downloading the system update multiple ways, and unplugging my modem/router and AC adapter. Seems to be in correlation with the Xbox 360 Preview Program. It occurred last night while I was watching
Netflix, got disconnected randomly while prompt to install the newer system update version. After the installation was complete I was unable to connect to Xbox live "Update Failed, A system update is required to sign in to Xbox Live, but the update is currently
unavailable".

I am having this problem too, the update starts goes about 10% then suddenly goes to 80% and then finish, but after that it ask again for a download.

Hey guys -

Sorry to hear about the issue. If you guys are trying to update and are connected to your home internet network wirelessly, please try connecting your Xbox One console to your network directly via ethernet cable and try again. If that does not resolve the
issue, you will want to perform an
Offline System Update. That process is outlined in the linked guide.

If neither of those options help, unfortunately your Xbox One may be in need of repair. That process can be initiated over at the
Online Service Center.

Try deleting the last update you installed because it could be corrupted, then try downloading the system update again hopefully that will make it unfreeze at the dashboard

please try these steps.

1 Downgrade the update:

If you have access to a previous version of the system software (for example, via an installation CD or a downloaded update file), try installing it. This may help resolve the issue if the current update is corrupted.

2. Reinstall the latest update:

If possible, download the latest Xbox 360 system software update (which is version 2.0.17559.0) and try installing it again. You can do this using an installation CD, a USB flash drive, or Xbox Live itself.

3. Reset the console:

As a last resort, you can try resetting the console to factory settings, which will erase all data on the console
