MY XBOX KEEPS DISCONNECTING WHEN IVE SET IT STATIC

Sorry to hear about the network performance. Let's check a few things to narrow this down. Does the issue persist when using both wired or wireless network connections on the console?



Run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox One console and please provide the following information.

• Download Speed
• Upload Speed
• Latency
• Packet Loss %
• Wireless Strength (if applicable)
• Modem Manufacturer
• Router Manufacturer (if being used) as well as the model number
• NAT Type

Let's then have you try to do a Network power cycle, to see if it helps.

• Start by powering off and unplugging your Modem, Router (if applicable) and Xbox One console.
  
• After 60 seconds of the devices being powered off, turn on the power to your Modem and then the Router (if applicable).
  
• Wait another 60 seconds for the network equipment to turn on and gain the proper signals from your ISP. Then turn on your Xbox One console.

If it helps, when I use automatic settings the xbox cannot find the gateway. And will it effect any computers connected already, as in disconnect them and not allow them to reconnect, if i do turn the settings to static ip.

Have you tried setting a static IP address for the two Xbox consoles? Might be a networking conflict with the two devices connected to the network, since you say the originial Xbox doesn't disconnect.

Also, do you use the Xbox App for Windows, iOS or Android? There are times where it's set to automatically connect to a console, and can sign you out of other consoles when that is initiated? I'm not sure what you're seeing when you say it disconnects
you at random times. Does it sign you out of your profile? Kick you from a game? Disconnect from Xbox Live, but keeps your profile signed in, or does it loose all internet connection?

Its wired directly through the gateway, all is kosher even in my gateway settings. Ive tried both static IP and DHCP, ive disabled the firewalls, ive opened up ports nothing seems to be working.

If you mean changing the xbox ip from its automatic to a manual "static" ip then yes i have and ive tried to make sure all the ports required are open on the router to that static ip. im a little tech savvy but not alot, the NAT type test i fear
is giving me a false positive as i run it twice and it eventually says open i played last night with the open nat type and xbox live disconnected again...

Have you tried using an alternative port that's different on both xboxs.

And by static i mean when you set up your port forwarding did you manualy set the ip for only the mac on the xbox. You would need to do this for each device
