My Xbox keeps dimming the TV

    The Xbox keeps making the TV dim. I use to be able to turn off the idle function. Now it is only available every 60 minutes. Is there another solution?

    Hi there,

    I don't have a solution, but a few suggestions to check.

    it could also be caused by something on the TV for the specific port you are using so please check that too, just to be sure

    Another thing to check is to see what happens when connecting to a different HDMI port on the TV or using a different HDMI cable.

    My Xbox dims now too. Hint to Microsoft: videos don't screen burn, and my TV doesn't worry about screen burn-in. There's literally NO NEED for a friggin' screen saver on a console. Let *me* worry about *my* TV, and either remove the dim completely or add
    a toggle to turn it off.

    I am having a similar issue on my Xbox One S connected directly to my Samsung JS8500 tv. When I open the netflix app the screen becomes very dim and the screen doesn't return to normal until the app is quit. HDR content looks great using the Netflix app
    on my TV by the way, not dim at all.

    I mean when the screen dims when it goes into idle. When i watch a movie or tv the screen dims
    Check the settings on the TV with the TV remote Menu.
