    My xbox isn't recognizing my external hard drive


    I have a seagate 4tb external hard drive it was working fine last night I left my xbox one all night to download a game and when I woke up it said my hard drive was not being recognized iv tried every suggestion iv found on troubleshooting sites and xbox
    and tried doing a full reboot does anyone have any suggestions

    Yes I have tried that and it does recognize it, and yes I am in the preview program I will contact them for more info. Thank you.

    Are you in the insider/preview program. If so you should try contacting them to see if they have any information.

    Have you tried putting the drive on a PC to see if it will recognize it? Don't format it just see if the PC can see the drive. It may come down to the fact that you will have to reformat it but let that be a last resort.

    Hi there!

    It's a bit of a strange process for this one, if the drive isn't showing on your PC, you'll need to follow a few steps on your PC to find it, and then you can reformat it.
