My Xbox is showing no Display on the Screen

Hi all,

I was having trouble with an external hard drive that wouldn't let me move any files to it, so I disconnected it and now the Xbox One X won't display anything on the screen. I checked the HDMI cables and they are working fine, and I tried the trick where
you hold the power button and eject button to get in low resolution mode but still no dice. All I'm getting is a blank screen.

Is it bricked? Any advice?

Hi pogue!

Have you tried doing a hard rest on the Xbox (unplug power cord from back of console, wait 2 minutes, plug back in and power on)? That is my go to when all other troubleshoots fail. Let me know if that worked or not. Thanks!

Yeah, I tried that too and no dice. I unplugged it and left it unplugged, tried turning it back on and nothing. Tried the trick to hold the power button and the eject button to get it into low resolution mode and nothing either.

I think it's bricked.

Same black screen. Power display shows on, my Tv HDMI input shows receiving signal but black screen on xbox. Home button shows it’s there and option to turn console off or controller off but that is all I can do. Smh !

Whenever i turn on the xbox, large chunks of pixels flicker across my monitor. Then the screen goes black and turns back on to show the same thing happening. Please help.

Have you changed any of the display settings? Having certain settings on certain screens may display incorrectly.
