My Xbox is saying No media

so I recently sold my Xbox 360 to someone and I was told to format the hard drive so I did because I didn't want all my personal information on it. So they texted me saying that when they turn on the Xbox it goes straight to a picture and it saying no media.
I don't know what it could be as its never done this to me when I've owned it but I've never formatted it before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.has anyone had this issue before ?

Sony will use this for their advantage without a doubt. Microsoft is in alot of trouble now. Most of their fans dislike what they want to do w/ xbox one...Sony will now capitalize on it.

That's exactly where I'm at.

 

Did you not test it after formatting it? Did they put a game in the drive? Since its been formatted there will be no games on the HD. Did they log into or create a profile?

 

once it was done formatting it restarted itself and it was fine besides having to make all the account info and such or log on. for me it was just like the main paige when you turn on the console except no profile on it. they said they put in a game and
nothing happened. i told them to create a profile im not sure if they actually did. they also said they couldnt get it to the main page it just stays on the screen with it saying no media.

 

Did they connect it to the internet? There might be updates that need to be downloaded.
