    CASE NUMBER-SR 1436035222.

    On 5th AUGUST 2018 I got an update for xbox one Original Xbox one i left the xbox to download i came back after 20 minutes to check it was showing error so i contacted xbox support chat they told me to reset my console
    to factory default after that i xbox asked me to update again it was showing me error again and again i changed the update was only of 387 mb but it was still taking 2-3 hours to download i have a speed of
    50 Mbps i knew there was something wrong so i changed internet and downloaded the update this time it downloaded in the first time. On the same day when i was about to go to sleep i canceled my preview program membership

    because i thought it was the reason why xbox was showing me error every time.
    Next Day 6th August 2018     when i turned my xbox

    on I got an update of 3.6 gb and it was also taking 2-3 hours to download i knew something was wrong so i went to xbox support chat to talk about this they told me to do a
    factory reset ,offline update , hard reset my xbox i did everything but nothing worked
    the update was still giving error.

    Target os-10.0.17134.4056

    Source os-10.0.17134.4071

    I talked to a Xbox support chat about this OS i asked them is it normal that if the target os is smaller then the source os.

    They told me that it's weird.

    what i think is that when i canceled my preview program i got an update so that my xbox can be changed to like other players who are not the part of the program that is why it's glitched and giving me error every time i try to update'

    When your PC is connected direct to the modem do you have to click on like a dial-up icon on your PC to connect to the Internet that has a username/password in it?

    Alright Lets try one thing. Anytime you remove your cable from the actual modem there usually is a DHCP issue. So I would suggest turning on the xbox. Plugging in the cable to the modem and xbox. Then press the reset button or power cycle the modem. Sometimes
    if the computer is not on when the cycle happens then it can't pick up on the xbox.

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this

    Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

    The speed of your internet and the amount of activity on your network will cause a delay in the amount of time it takes to download large files.

    thanks for the suggestion, I contacted ISP they were no help either, I got hooked to the network but am having a DNS failure, used military DNS still didnt work...

    I also think its a hardware fault, not something you can fix yourself. Reset your Xbox network settings to factory defaults, wire it into a friends router if that does not work I would say its faulty and needs to be fixed by Microsoft or replaced

    Very odd then, has the Xbox every connected to the Internet in the past? Its starting to sound like a fault to me
