My xbox is glitching.

I don't know if this a console issue or connection, but for the past 4-5 days now my background where I had a picture has gone completely black and I can't even look at my own profile now, I can't even start a party up when I do I cant even join a party
when I click the party chat button the button isnt highlighted no more and I'm not in a party, I cant look at group post or make any post, even my xbox gamer pic is just a white outline of a head and its blank. Same goes for all my friends I cant look at anyones
profile picture or profile. Top of that all of my games and apps like the picture of them has gone to a gray box no picture at all I can play my games tho but I cant be in party chats I lottery just fixed my reputation from needs work to good player and now
this is started happening to me. Like seriously? Is this my xbox or my connection or it is your servers messing up for me. All of my friends are not dealing with this situation but me. Oh also forgot I cant even send messages or even look at them. So I need
help badly. I don't know what to do.

Slight technical glitch? Since when is not being able to access your profile what so ever a slight glitch. This is a major glitch, as I cant use ANYTHING on my xbox currently.

Power cycle the console by holding the power button for 10s, then unplugging for 10s. As for your modem, the best thing to do is to use a paperclip and do a factory reset if you have not made major changes. If you want to keep your setting then just turn
it off, disconnect the cable, wait at least 20s with the power supply unplugged and then reconnect the cord & cable and power back on.

I would also take a look at your NAT settings under Setting, General -> Network settings. It should be Open. Lastly change your DNS to a much more game friendly suite like Google (8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4).

Let us know the results after this. I have a lot of more suggestions if that does not solve the issue.

And how do I power cycle both of them then? Cause I have tried unplugging both of them and let them be for 30 min several times and it's the same issue.

Hi taylorblake1, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Have you tried to reset your console keeping your games and apps? Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

Hi There,

It honestly sounds like there is a massive delay between the Xbox servers and your Xbox. This could be for any number of reasons namely network conditions. With the virus situation and resources being stretched thin, its no surprise that people are experiencing
stuff like this. My advice would be to power cycle the console if you haven't already, power cycle your modem, and if that doesn't help then maybe have a chat with your ISP to check your outgoing connection just to make absolutely sure that its not on your
end.
