​My Xbox is constantly telling me to clear my local saved games

My Xbox is constantly telling me to clear my local saved games and because of that I can't play games. It happens when I am in a game and it randomly pops up.

every time i go into local multiplayer i get a message telling me my data won't be saved

It's because you HDD is full and needs room for auto saving.

 

currently have same issue hard drive only has 4 games on it, plently of space, iv formated iv even sent this xbox away to get repaired 3 times still getting the issue

What error message are you seeing specifically? Can you please include a photo of it or verbatim on what you're seeing?

If you visit Settings>System>Storage, you'll see an option to Clear local saved games. This will remove saves stored locally on your console such as if you played a game offline and didn't sync the game back to the cloud when you came back online. Games will
save automatically to the cloud when you're signed into your Xbox profile and connected to Xbox Live.

 

Mine started doing this to me two days ago its less than 20% full it does this constantly and its less than two months old. What is the fix for this I can get nowhete in any game my xbox one x is literally a 500 dollar paperweight at this point.

 

I have the same problem. Error code is 0x80831002. I have cleared local saved games dozens of times and the problem keeps recurring on a more frequent basis. Have hardly been able to play for weeks.

 

I have the same problem. Plenty of room on my HDD. Factory reset has not fixed the problem either.

 

My scorpio started doing this a while ago and has got more and more frequent i think its a fault with internal hdd so probably have to send it off but any fix known?

 

Is your console used offline for longer periods of time?

Usually, the console primarily stores savegames online in the Xbox Live Cloud, and only keeps a small copy of your recently played games in a special area of the main hard drive, that is not accessible by the user.

If the console can't upload your savegames, that special area can get full.

Make sure your console can connect online and upload the savegames to the cloud.

 

Ye its always signed into live with good wire connection. Also after being on for an hour or so nothing will install from disc or ready to install list just says instaltion stopped constantly if i resume. Also will not let me save on certain games when
its been on for same time period.

 

Does anyone know if microsoft has an answer for the problem? Seems like it's something that has been going on for a while now with the new system.

 

If your HDD is full, it's clear. Uninstall some games and the message stops showing. It is not recommended to fill the HDD to the maximum.
