I understand you need help with getting your MAC address.

Try going to your phone's settings and see if you can find your MAC address, it usually is coming from your network settings. You can also search it through settings and it will just pop up.

If that does not work, try doing this on your console.

Please Go to Settings:

> Network

> Network Settings

> Advanced Settings.

Select the alternate MAC address and then select delete/clear.

You must restart the console for the change to take effect.

i got it to work by connected my xbox to the hotspot on my phone and using the data off that.

My Xbox 1 won't connect to my hotspot either. I've even went in and put my Xbox MAC address in and switched it to only allowed devices and that still wouldn't work. My other devices such as phones, firestick ect can connect fine

If the hotspot has a web-based authorization process you need to pass through (or a login page) upon connection to the hotspot, the Xbox cannot support that.

However, there is a workaround. You can try connecting to the hotspot with your phone, log into the webpage with your credentials, and then change the Wireless MAC address of your Xbox to the Wifi MAC of your android phone. Disconnect your Android phone
from Wifi as soon as you get them connected so you don't get conflicts.

In the Xbox network settings, go to "Advanced Settings" and select "Alternate MAC Address" to change your Xbox's MAC.

Disconnect from your current connection.
Advanced network settings>port selection and switch to another port
Clean the MAC again, reboot, connect the console to your phone's network as a hotspot, and test party chat again.

Same again, and it didn't work with my hotspot either.
