my xbox is broken or something minecraft says its installing but its not doing anything and...

no it was like that right off the bat i had waited about 2 hours and nothing had happened then i started restarting the console although thats a very dumb concept and it shouldnt be a thing lol

Please check if there are any pending updates for your console, you can do this at Settings > System > Updates.

If there are no available updates for your console, please try uninstalling the game and reinstalling it.

okay so i restarted my console and it installed but when i try to open it it says something went wrong

- To clarify, is this exactly how you reset your console?

• Press and hold your console's power button until it shuts down.

• Unplug the console's power cord for 3 minutes.

• Plug the power cord back in and turn on your console.

- If the previous steps don't work, I'd suggest doing a soft factory reset (keeping games and apps). To do so:

• Go to Settings > System > Console info > Reset Xbox > Keep games and apps.

• Once the reset is done, check if the installation is still stuck on your queue.

Note: Resetting your console to its factory defaults erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. If your console has been constantly connected to the internet and Xbox Live services, your saved data should be backed up on the cloud.

Apparently that is supposed to happen

In a recent Minecraft (bedrock edition) update for xbox one/series, the update would install the game again so you'll end up with 2 copys of Minecraft on your xbox. Once you open Minecraft (doesn't matter which af the 2 copies), they get merged into one. It is a weird one but apparently it's supposed to happen to have "performance improvements." It also changes some file stuff but that's whatever

You probably messed up the process by unplugging stuff and shutting things down
