My Xbox has completely slowed down and all of my games are not working properly

I have an external storage device WD elements I think it’s 3 tb and has worked on my Xbox perfectly even when it drops on the floor however recently I accidentally knocked it off my desk and I panicked as usual however upon pluggin it back in all 65 of my games coming back I realized that when I opened a game what normally took a minute for the game to load is now taking 10 minutes sometimes even 20 minutes to open. At first I only thought it was because of the game I was playing elden ring thinking my file was corrupted however when I tried other games it was the same it wouldn’t load. I believe it’s just my storage device and I will look into it however any advice would he really useful thanks for reading

I very much suggest that whatever happens that you invest in a strip of Velcro to stick it to your desk somit doesn’t fall. Especially with multiple falls, the drive mechanism is likely damaged producing a great number of read errors. Please note that most PC disk tools cannot operate with Xbox formatting, and you’ll have to delete and reformat the drive to use them

Of the games that are having that issues are on the external device it's the most probable thing that it damaged after the fall

But you should first try to power cycle the console and plug the device on a different USB port

You can also try plugging it to a PC and use diskpart to check the external storage for posible damage

After the stuck (black screen), I initially reset the console by using recovering menu (press and hold the Pair button and the Eject button on the console, and then press the Xbox button on the console) and using the option "Remove everything (all data and apps)" that I believe is the Reset Factory, but it didn't work (the update was completed properly but with slowness issues) so I repeated twice times the Offline Update (OSU1) with a USB (completed properly) but the slowness issues are still in the xBox.

So I just now turned on my xbox after it has been on standby all day and the power button is flashing again so nothing so far has fixed it. It's obvious the standby mode does not work properly as I have to completely shut it down and reboot it after it
is on standby for too long. I really hope they fix this in the next update.
